Tamar Regional Council covers the southern border of Israel including the Dead Sea. The meeting with the Mayor and his team was followed by a short tour of the site with the monument presenting a unique bond between Nepal and Israel.

The monument shows unique and special relations between the two countries in the sense that stones brought from the Mount Everest, the highest point on the earth and the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth are mounted there. The Monument contains text in the Hebrew, English and Nepali languages since its establishment in 2010.

Some error in the Nepali text was found during previous visits of the site.

So, Nepal Embassy requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel and Tamar Regional Council for correction. Now, the text has been corrected by the Council upon the request of the Embassy.

We would like to thank Tamar Regional Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel for correcting the text.
