Embassy of Nepal in joint collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board organized Nepal Evening 2019 on 14th February’ 2019 on the sideline of International Mediterranean Tourism Market 2019, the biggest tourism market in Mediterranean region and the largest annual professional
tourism fair of its kind in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Members of Diplomatic corps, Travel and Tour operators, Nepal Enthusiasts, Journalists and travel bloggers attended the event. Ambassador Dr. Anjan Shakya welcoming the audience informed that after the success of visit Nepal Year 1998 and Nepal Tourism year 2011, Nepal is going to celebrate visit Nepal 2020 and.expressed her hope to receive love and support of Israeli people for this mega event to be a success. She welcomed Israeli people and the business community to join Nepal investment summit on March 29-30, 2019 in Kathmandu and assured them of embassy’s support in facilitating their participation. She recalled excellent relations existent between Israel and Nepal since 1960 and requested the Israel side to take benefit of the current investment friendly environment while enjoying Nepal’s beauty often compared with Shangri_La.
The first Israeli Mountaineer to climb Mount Annapurna l, the only Israeli experienced in search and rescue in complex alpine conditions and Honorary public Relations Representative of Nepal Nadav Ben Yehuda speaking at the event showed beautiful documentary on Nepal and shared some really interesting facts about Nepal regarding its diverse culture, festivals and flag.
Seasoned journalist Anjali subedi highlighted the major touristic attraction of Nepal like world’s most extreme Zipline for adventure lovers, biking in High Hills, Trekking, Hiking, Bungee Jumping, Paragliding, Rock climbing, rafting and skiing at the event. she iterated that Economic revolution is Government of Nepal’s single most prioritized, agenda and informed that it has drawn investment Friendly Polices and clear Framework for Investment on Technology, Energy, Tourism, Agriculture, Media Technology, Transport Infrastructure.
Manager of Nepal Tourism Board Mr. Rohini Khanal presented beautiful short video clips of Nepal that left the audience mesmerized. He informed them about Visit Nepal 2020 year and shed lights on all the new tourist destination Government of Nepal has explored and developed for the year 2020. He also informed the audience about the stellar ranking Nepal has been receiving as tourist destination from international media.
The event also had Nepali cultural dances and Nepali food which enthralled the Israeli attendees.
